If Israel does not get support from the USA Netanyahu WILL take action, can anyone blame him? furthermore, Israel has NEVER lost a war, as small as they are, they have the protection of a higher office than our President, the so called Messiah, yes there is a power greater than Obamas

Well put, Shani. But let's not let Bebe and Co. completely off the hook.

Israel could have stated in advance that if they inspected the ship at sea and it had no contraband, it would have been allowed to continue to Gaza. That would have put the ball in the "peaceniks'" (haven't heard that word in awhile!) court.

If the activists allowed inspection, all well and good. Israel looks reasonable and charitable. But if the activists refused, the world would assume there was something to hide and Israel could stop the ship and still hold the high ground of public opinion.

Israel's fault was to too narrowly focus on keeping all ships out of Gaza, even if harmless. They can make a better decision next time ... which could be as early as next week.
